Nataliya Samokhina

Before coming to Australia, Nataliya worked for many years at the Ryazan Regional Children's Library. She collaborated closely with the professional magazine The Librarian. She had the author's program Zamorochka for children of secondary school on the local television.

Nataliya is a member of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). While being on her placement at John Oxley Library, which is the part of the State Library of Queensland, she completed the information fact sheets Russians in Queensland. Nataliya catalogued and translated from Russian into English all the documents and private letters from the family archive of the Russian designer Polina Gubar. She found in the library collection three issues of a unique newspaper Listok, published in 1918 by a member of the Russian radical socialist group The Russian Group of Workers Konstantin Klushin, and also translated them into English.

Nataliya came to Brisbane in 2008.
