Kseniia Petrova

My artworks directly respond to the surrounding environment and uses everyday experiences from the artist as a starting point. Often these are framed instances that would go unnoticed in their original context.

My art is based on inspiring situations and people around me, my family members, the ones I love, or the ones I just meet for the moment. I explore such human emotions like happiness, joy, sorrow, sadness, anger, and pain. These emotions could be strong and obvious but might be hidden inside particular personality. And that is the moment for me as an artist to discover these feelings and to show them by single or multicolour visual language.

I work in a variety of media such as charcoal, pastel, oil and watercolour.
